IT'S been a long time since I last used TradeStation. The first thought that crossed my mind when I began to review this product was that its a trading platform on steroids. After all, look at it: It includes strategy backtesting and automation on equities, options, futures, historical and real-time data, charting analysis, programming capabilities, easy entry/exit orders, screening, option analysis, news, research, and most recently, forex trading strategies based on interbank spreads. Its powerful so much so, in fact, that the number of features will be difficult to cover in one review. Because of that I will focus on the interface, order entry, and matrix this time. Ill cover its application of forex trading strategies, which is the latest feature, in the next issue.
