TD Ameritrades StrategyDesk has come forward to fill the void between discount brokerages and fullfledged, trendy, often spendy professional stock analysis and trading platforms. Originally launched in November 2006 for TD Ameritrades Apex clients, the program proved to be so popular that they decided to open it up to all their clients. When asked about the sophistication of the program, Jay Pestrichelli, managing director of TD Ameritrades active trader group, said this tool was primarily used by intermediate to advanced traders, and often used by daytraders. But the extensive help files, manuals, and particularly the TD Ameritrade associates on their help line were all ready to assist first-time users.
